Bespoke cabinetry turns design dimensions into manufactured objects. Once production begins, unresolved room geometry or equipment choices become expensive changes.

Confirm the room is ready to measure

Decide whether the supplier is measuring existing walls or completed plaster. Record finished floor build-up, ceiling construction, service voids and any walls still subject to structural work.

Freeze the appliance and sink schedule

Models affect ventilation, electrical demand, plumbing, door clearances and support. Avoid approving cabinets around nominal appliance sizes where exact technical sheets are available.

Coordinate stone and lighting

Worktop thickness, overhangs, joints and support affect cabinet construction. Pendants, task lighting and controls should relate to the final island and wall elevations.

Create one approved setting-out reference

Architectural, cabinetry, electrical and plumbing drawings can conflict. Resolve differences and issue one coordinated reference before first fix and manufacturing release.
